If a contact (let's assume a company and customer) is archived, it seems I can no longer see this contact as a drop down option in the customer field in sales when I want to set up a new offer or order.
Also, it seems if I then try and set up a new company customer with the same name, it is not flagged up by Odoo, that an archived company customer by the same name exists.
Questions:
- is there a way around this, so I don't end up with accidental multiple contact entries?
- What do I do if I want to list a client as "do not do business with that client again" for instance due to no payment? I thought the way would be to add a comment ("banned due to bad payment ethics") and archive, but that is not a viable option, if the same client can be simply set up again, without the person doing so even knowing that this client has a history.
