Hi all,

I am interested to used Odoo for my business, the plateforme is great but not easy at start.

We are doing cleaning services for Hotel. We are invoicing customer with the number of rooms done, with different pricing if it is single, double etc.

For a single room, it means 20 minutes of work, double 30 minutes.

I need inspectors (manager of multiple hotel) enter the number of room that have been done everyday day by employees to invoice customer. This information should also fill the timesheet (if an employee have done 10 single room, we need to add 200 minutes in timesheet).

I try to work with projects for each hotel, create product as service for every type of room, but don't find the way to do it.

Any idea?

Thanks for your answer, I try to create article with Unit a UoM, do you told me that I need to change it to time?

I don"t understand where the manager will enter the number of room done? Can you help me. Thanks

Thanks for your feedback. Let me clarify my previous answer I did not mean changing your room products from Unit to Time.

Since you invoice customers based on the number of rooms cleaned, I would keep room types (Single, Double, etc.) as products with Unit as the UoM.

What I meant is that each room type can have a predefined cleaning duration behind the scenes (for example: Single = 20 minutes, Double = 30 minutes). The manager/inspector would enter the number of rooms completed (for example: 10 Single Rooms and 5 Double Rooms), and an automated process could then calculate the total employee work time and update the timesheet automatically.

Standard Odoo can cover part of this process, while the automatic conversion from room quantities into timesheet hours may require a customized workflow.

Odoo can support this workflow, but not with standard timesheet functionality alone, as timesheets are designed to track time rather than automatically convert business units into time. A common approach is to create a separate project for each hotel and define service products for each room type with their respective prices. Inspectors can then record the number of rooms cleaned, while a custom automation or small development calculates the corresponding timesheet duration based on predefined rules (for example, 20 minutes per single room and 30 minutes per double room). This allows room quantities to be used for customer invoicing while automatically generating timesheet entries for employee tracking and reporting.

- Create a Project for each hotel.

- Create service products for each room type (e.g., Single Room Cleaning, Double Room Cleaning) with their respective sales prices.

- Have inspectors enter the quantities of rooms cleaned through a custom form, task, or sales order.
