How to set up Automatic Email

Question

Dear Odooer,
I have a workflow that allows a junior start to raise a PO, while the senior staff confirms it. I want an automated email alert to be sent to the senior staff immediately  after Po is raised by the junior staff. How can I do that please?

I have gone through the process of activating the developer mode>automated action>and then filled the lines, but it seems not to work.
someone should please help.

Use an Activity instead.
Create a Custom Activity "Approve PO" which, when created by the Junior, sends an email to the Senior.
From below the PO (at the top of the Chatter) click SCHEDULE ACTIVITY, then they see:

I want an automated action to be triggered at the point when PO is created.
Having to schedule activities is not sustainable  and the junior staff might forget
