How to do it:
Go to Project → Create and create a new project.
Make sure “Billable” or Sales Order linkage is disabled (or simply don’t create it from a quotation).
Enable Planning / Tasks / Timesheets as needed from the project settings.
Create tasks manually and assign:
Start and end dates
Employees
Planned hours
Use the Planning app (if installed) to schedule resources directly on tasks.
Key point:
Sales orders are not mandatory for project planning. They are only required if you want billing, invoicing, or sales-driven project creation.
This approach works well for:
Internal projects
R&D or maintenance work
IT / HR / Admin projects
Non-billable or fixed-budget initiatives
