ENGIE Vianeo operates a network of public EV charging stations across France and Belgium. The company offers B2B subscription plans to corporate fleets, giving employees access to charging at preferential rates alongside pay-per-use sessions.
- Objective
Automate subscription billing and charging session invoicing for B2C & B2B customers : replacing a fragmented, manual process with a single, reliable billing platform that scales with the business and meets French and Belgian regulatory requirements.
- Challenge
• No unified system to manage customer subscriptions and issue compliant invoices automatically.
• Each charging session had to be billed individually, across two countries with different VAT rules.
• Finance teams were spending significant time each month on manual invoice generation and follow-up.
• Upcoming French regulation required all B2B invoices to be submitted electronically : adding a compliance deadline on top of the billing overhaul.

• Deploy Odoo as the central billing platform, connecting the existing customer management system, the charging network, and the payment provider into one automated flow.
• Each charging session is automatically captured and turned into a Sale Order : no manual input required. The right VAT rate is applied based on the customer's country and status.
• Monthly invoices are consolidated and sent automatically, giving each customer one clear invoice per billing period.
• Subscription management is handled entirely in Odoo: customers are enrolled, invoiced monthly, and their status updated automatically.
• The platform is built to submit invoices electronically to the French tax authorities, meeting the mandatory September 2026 deadline.
