- I want to connect 5 normel Printers and several more Labelprinters to Odoo. Do i need 1 IOT Box per device?
- Does Odoo charge me the 30$/month for each IOT Box in usage or does it cover every IOT Box used?

Hi Alexander,
- You can connect as many devices to your IoT Box as the IoT Box has corresponding ports. So you don't need one box per device. In your case, however, you should need at least 2 boxes due to the number of 5 printers + x label printers.
- Odoo creates a subscription for 25€ (currently around $27) per month for each IoT configuration created in your system - so it's best to make sure that you don't have any “dead” IoT configurations in the system - otherwise they will also be charged.
One more tip at this point: you don't need an IoT box for network-compatible devices such as the EPSON TM-M30 printer. If you are thinking about long-term use of Odoo and the printers, it might make sense to get network-compatible printers directly, as you only have to pay and set them up once, while you end up paying for supposedly cheaper devices every month.

ah ok i understand. So for devices in a Network i do not need an IOT box. I just connect them to a Network and then to Odoo, like it is done with every printer in a company?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying - if the printers are network-compatible, you don't need an IoT box.
The EPSON printers should be relatively easy to integrate - for label printers, I can also highly recommend the Zebra models, as the ZPL format used is natively supported by Odoo.
However, depending on the Odoo version, in most cases a CUPS server is required for the communication of a label printer, which must be able to communicate with Odoo. In addition, a module for printing such as this one: https://github.com/OCA/report-print-send
