Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue with the Social Marketing app in Odoo 18.

I connected a Facebook Page successfully, and Odoo is able to publish new posts to Facebook without any problem. The page statistics are also being retrieved correctly.

However, Odoo displays a red "Connection Problem" icon next to the Facebook page. In addition, Odoo does not import or display the posts that already exist on the Facebook page. Only the posts published from Odoo appear in the Social Marketing app.

To summarize:

  • Facebook page connection completed successfully.
  • Publishing posts from Odoo to Facebook works.
  • Page statistics are available.
  • Existing Facebook posts are not synchronized to Odoo.
  • A red "Connection Problem" warning remains visible.

I have already granted all requested Facebook permissions and tried re-synchronizing the account, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem or found a solution?

Hello,

What you are experiencing is often related to the way Odoo's Social Marketing integration works with Facebook's API.

If publishing new posts and retrieving page statistics are working correctly, the connection itself is generally valid. However, Odoo does not always synchronize historical Facebook posts that were created directly on Facebook before the page was connected to Odoo. In many cases, only posts published through Odoo are managed and displayed within the Social Marketing app.

Regarding the red "Connection Problem" indicator, it may be worth reviewing the Facebook access token, page permissions, and Odoo server logs to identify whether there is a specific API synchronization error being reported.
