OpenERP runs as a service and when we add the --db-filter=YOUR_DATABASE to the service start-up parameters, this doesn't put the ERP server into single DB mode.
Any help would be really great.

You need to also add -d YOUR_DATABASE to your startup parameters.
Please confirm if it works for you.
