I would be also interested if external consultants can contribute to timesheet (and maybe also expenses) without necessarily buy a full license for them.

You can create those external contributors as a Portal User in odoo. Just open their contact and click on the gear icon and select Grant Portal access. This will send an email to them with a link to login to odoo.

Then you will need to create a custom page for them to select projects and enter the timesheet. Also need to give access rights (create, read, write and delete if required) for the project, task and account.analytic.line objects.

Unfortunately you will have to design the form yourself and manage routes in a controller and all the button click events when the user saves the timesheet.

Hi Bernhard, did you already find a solution to this problem? We are as well looking into having external consultants to contribute to the timesheet. But only to the timesheet. We shouldn't have to buy a full license for them to use the timesheet functions on Odoo.
