I can elaborate on this, since we've been through this hell last week. The WisePad 3 does not have the option to link it to Stripe with just the serial number out of the box. You actually need to write code and make API calls in order to register the terminal to your Odoo instance or app. It seems that Odoo support is only for the WisePOS E Smart terminal, since this supports adding a location ID through the Stripe dashboard and terminal hardware.

I believe there are some third party apps offering a Stripe terminal integration for Odoo however these are only supported for odoo sh or on-premise.

Very sad story and a lack of proper documentation from Odoo, we choose to buy the smart terminal and will consider writing code when opening our next location.
