Tax Return Periodicity start date

Question

By default, Odoo starts the Tax Return Periodicity with the
Fiscal Year. Is there a way to set the start date of the
Tax Return Periodicity manually (for example a month after the
Fiscal Year).

I have tried that and it allows you to set fiscal years yes. The problem is that ( In South Africa)  the vat year does not run on the same cycle as the fiscal year eg. fiscal year is 1 Mar to 28 Feb
vat year is 1 Feb to 31 Jan.
Are there any other countries with a similar situation

I face the same issue but did not find a way to resolve it. Can someone help?

Just go to settings with dev mode activated. There go to Accounting and scroll down till you find Fiscal Periods, and you can change it there.
