In Odoo Email Marketing there isn’t a built-in direct “Subscribe” button for mailing lists inside the email itself without using a form or route. However, there are a couple of ways you can achieve this:

Option 1: Use a custom controller URL

You can create a simple custom route in a custom module that receives the contact’s email (or partner ID) and automatically adds them to the target mailing list. Then you can place a button in the email that points to that URL.

Example flow:

1. Create a route like: /newsletter/subscribe?email=${object.email}

2. In the controller, search the contact and add them to the desired mailing.list.

3. Redirect to a simple “Subscribed successfully” message (optional).

This allows one-click subscription directly from the email.

Option 2: Use a simple website form (lightweight)

Even if you don't want the full website experience, a minimal form endpoint can handle the subscription with almost no UI.

If you'd like, I can also share a small controller example for Odoo 17 that automatically adds the recipient to a mailing list with one click.
