I have a place on the website it hosts where customers can subscribe to our mailing list. I am wondering if there is an easy way to create an action where it automatically sends a "welcome email" to people that subscribe to the newsletter. I want to utilize it to give out a first timer discount code.

Hi Rayan,
Check the below module, I think it will help you. Right now it was only available for v11 and v12, so you need to migrate it for v13.
