How can I extend odoo web service methods available?

For example, I can call

xmlrpclib.ServerProxy('http://localhost:9069/xmlrpc/db').create_database('db_name',False, 'en')

But I would like to add a new method by a module

Have you tried creating a new module with your custom method? Since all the methods should be available, so should yours in that case.

Hi Ludo, thanks for the quick response. I think it is not so simple as extending a class (like for eg. res.partner).

I need to add a method avilable to be use as a WS and available without any db installed, the same as the methods restore, dump, etc defined in "openerp/service/db.py"
