ROGER LEWIS CONTRACTS LIMITED
Roger Lewis is a UK-based manufacturer of bespoke upholstered furniture, producing everything from standard product lines through to fully commissioned, multi-item projects for trade and direct clients. Operating from a single factory with multiple specialist work centres - covering cutting, sewing, build and foam preparation, upholstering, and finishing - the business combines skilled craftsmanship with the kind of operational complexity that comes with managing made-to-order production at scale.
Sixo Systems is working with Roger Lewis to implement Odoo as a fully integrated operational platform, replacing separate MRP and accounting systems with a unified solution hosted on Odoo.SH. The implementation brings together sales and quoting, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, shop floor operations, accounting, and customer service under one roof - designed around the distinct workflows that each product tier requires.
A structured quoting process is being configured to handle the specific requirements of bespoke orders, including fabric selection, surcharge logic, and lead time management, alongside automated order processing for standard trade orders. On the production side, each of the factory's work centres is being mapped in Odoo Manufacturing, with shop floor tablets giving operatives a clear view of their work orders and enabling time to be logged automatically at each stage of production. A bespoke-developed digital Fabric Library captures the full range of material attributes - including lot-level traceability - ensuring complete visibility of fabric from goods receipt through to the finished item.
Purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing are being connected so that replenishment demand flows naturally from confirmed orders, with purchasing teams retaining the ability to consolidate orders by vendor and manage delivery windows effectively. Barcode scanning at goods-in and stock transfers, combined with put-away rules and lot tracking, brings structure and accuracy to stock management across the factory.
On the financial side, the migration from an existing accounting system to Odoo Accounting is being handled to preserve continuity across open invoices and supplier balances, with OCR-based invoice processing introduced to handle incoming supplier bills efficiently. Customer service is being centralised in Odoo Helpdesk, replacing ad-hoc email communication with structured ticket management, SLA tracking, and post-resolution feedback.
The result is an integrated platform that connects the full order-to-delivery journey - from the first client enquiry through quoting, production planning, manufacturing, and dispatch - giving the Roger Lewis team the visibility and control to deliver bespoke work consistently and efficiently.
