Hello everyone,
I’m currently working with Odoo v18 and I need to export the XML file for the VAT declaration (Belgium).
However, I can’t find the option or menu that allows generating or exporting this XML file in version 18.
Does anyone know where do they hide the XML export option ?
Any guidance or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

From Odoo v18.3 onward, the XML export for the Belgian VAT return is available again, but the workflow has changed a bit.
You need to go to Accounting > Tax Return, open the declaration you want to submit, and then proceed through the different validation steps. Be aware that the system will block the process if there are draft moves, unmatched operations, or incomplete periods, so it’s important to review and clear these first.
Once all steps are validated, the option to download the XML file becomes available from the declaration screen.

To find the XML export for the VAT declaration in Odoo 18 (Belgium), start by checking the "Accounting" and "Invoicing" apps for a "Reporting" menu, where you should look for options like "VAT Declaration" or "Periodic VAT Statements." Within these reports, there should be a button labeled "Export XML" or similar. Ensure the "Belgium - Accounting" module is installed and up to date.
If you can't find it, enable technical features in settings and check again. Also, search within "Aged Partner Balance" or check the print menu for an XML export option. If still missing, verify that you have the correct Belgian localization modules installed, update your modules, and if all else fails, contact Odoo support for assistance.
