We are currently using Odoo Community edition, and one of the requirements is to allow customers to pay their orders in POS using vouchers. Since we want to avoid any custom development, we are not sure what is the best way to handle this. From what we have seen, POS in Community only supports standard payment methods (cash, bank, etc.), and the Coupons/Promotions or Gift Card features appear to be available only in Odoo Enterprise or through third-party apps.
In this situation, what would be the recommended approach in Odoo Community to handle vouchers in POS? Should we simply configure a new payment method called “Voucher” and manage redemption manually, or is there any built-in feature in the Community edition that can validate and track vouchers?
