Odoo for a library

Question

Can I use Odoo for library-like tasks? I have a huge collection of newspapers and I want to add a barcode for each, and then use a barcode scanner to know which ones I validated and which don't, for moving the whole collection to a different house

If you only need to keep record the stock of the newspapers and movements between 2 storage sites, you can use the Inventory module.
My advice is to create every newspaper (for example: New York Times) as an article and each edition of a particular day as a lot. The serial number could be used, but the lot allows more than one specimen of the same day.
This circuit doesn't cover the full operation of a library (borrows, etc.) Maybe some Inventory functionality can help you, but maybe some develo
