Is it possible to create an inventory system in Odoo 17 that allows me to capture stock levels within a specific storeroom in addition to itemising products that sit in the same location. Fore example. I require multiple fields of data to be captured and saved with regards to a specific part...A used fuel gauge has been brought into the storeroom however there are plenty of new fuel gauges sitting on the shelf with the same batch number in addition to this, it is required that each part's time spent in use be recorded along with the relevant Batch and Serial numbers. I have created custom fields in Lots/Serial Modules to reflect this information however i need the amount reflecting in the Lots/Serial Model to correspond with the total quantity of new and used parts. Is this possible with Odd 17 ERP?

To manage your requirement each pump must have its own serial number. In this case I would recommend to use Serial number and not lot number, since you want information on each individual pump.
I think that is all you need to do.
If you want to see how many used / unused you have in stock, you must modify the stock report to show a new field.

Is it then also possible to add additional fields to capture other information such as
If that specific item is Serviceable
If it has a Serial Number or a batch number
How long a specific part has been used before being brought back into the Storeroom

Is this possible to retain all this information and perhaps more for each part through Lots/Serial Model?

How would I go about modifying the stock report to reflect this field?

The stock report or Location report (quant model) cannot be modified with studio. You would have to develop an extension view and inherit it.
You can modify the list view for Lot/serial with Studio.
There is really no support in Odoo to record usage of tools in manufacturing. Over the years there has been raised questions about in itthis forum, but no solution has been provided. And it seems like no 3.rd party apps have been developed for it.

You can of course manually maintain values in the lot/serial record.

Yes, it is possible to handle the scenario that you are expecting with the help of Lot/Serial Numbers and multiple warehouse locations in Odoo.
