Up to version 19.1, every project had a dashboard – accessible via the three dots – where you could see revenue and expenses, purchased materials, hours worked and budgets at a glance. The layout certainly wasn’t particularly attractive, but it was functional.
I’ve now noticed that this feature has been completely removed from version 19.2 onwards: "The profitability report in the project dashboard has been removed. You can now analyze your project’s budget, as well as actual and projected margins, using the new dedicated reports."
Surely you don’t mean the various pivot tables? Odoo – are you serious? Or have I missed something? What alternatives are there? And I don’t mean that I’m making something myself...
You're right to question the change - many users found the old dashboard practical for quick insights. We don’t know the exact reason why Odoo made this change in the latest version.

In what world is this more practical for the average project manager to look up data in various areas instead of a single summary page ? Currently I have our accountants work extra time to provide the reporting data which was previously quickly accessible on the Dashboard.
With every major update of Odoo you need to budget time spending to find "work-arounds" for "upgrades" that are actually down-grades.
I agree that this needs to be brought back. It was a super helpful glance at the overview of the project. It's one thing to add some dedicated reports and maybe make the dashboard an optional setting you can enable, but removing it completely with no equivalent replacement is absurd.
