For each product, you set a default inventory UoM (typically the smallest, like "Bottle") while allowing purchases to be made in larger units like "Cases" or "Pallets." Crucially, when you receive goods on a PO, Odoo automatically converts the purchased quantity from the larger UoM (e.g., Pallets) into the product's base inventory UoM (Bottles), ensuring accurate stock levels without manual calculation.
