Hi Odoo Community,

I’m using Odoo Online 19.2 and would like to ask how to remove the “Prospect” button/header that appears automatically when sending messages/emails from the CRM module.

Currently, when sending an email to a client from an Opportunity/CRM record, the email contains:

  • A button/header like “Prospect”
  • The opportunity title (example: “Giovanni Alexander’s opportunity”)

I would like the email to look more professional and remove these CRM-related elements from the outgoing email template.

Questions:

  1. Is it possible to remove the “Prospect” button/header in Odoo Online?
  2. Which template or layout controls this section?
  3. Can this be customized without custom code/studio?
  4. Is this part of the default mail notification layout?

I’m using:

  • Odoo Online
  • Version 19.2
  • CRM Module

The "Prospect" header in CRM email templates is part of the default mail notification layout in Odoo.


To remove or customize it without custom code, you can use Odoo Studio (available on some plans) or Email Templates:


Option 1 - Via Email Templates (no Studio needed): Go to Settings > Technical > Email > Templates. Search for the CRM Lead/Opportunity template. Edit the template body to remove the "Prospect" header reference.


Option 2 - Via Odoo Studio: In Studio, go to the email layout, find the notification template for CRM leads, and remove the status/stage badge that shows "Prospect".


Note: The "Prospect" label comes from the lead stage name. If you rename the stage in CRM > Configuration > Stages, it will change the label in emails as well. This is the simplest workaround - simply rename the stage to something blank or a more professional name.
