For posting the salary you need a journal which you can specify inside the employee contract. If you open the contract form, you can see the the field to specify it.

Then you can set the journal for each contract as per the use case. Once everything is done, you can create the employee payslips and generate accounting entries. Make sure that payroll accounting module is installed.
