The Butrint Management Foundation (BMF), established by the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF), is entrusted with the preservation, revitalization, and promotion of Butrint, one of Albania’s most historically significant and ancient sites. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Butrint is a cornerstone of Albania’s cultural heritage, attracting visitors from around the globe to experience its rich archaeological and historical value.
The AADF’s vision for Butrint is to restore it as a premier historic tourist destination, ensuring that it not only serves as a link to the past but also thrives as a sustainable cultural attraction. Managing an institution of this magnitude requires advanced technology and a robust administrative framework to support the myriad of operations involved in preserving, maintaining, and promoting a site of such global importance.
We are proud to have partnered with the Butrint Management Foundation to implement Odoo as the core platform for managing their administrative operations. Our engagement with BMF presented a unique opportunity to contribute to the revival of one of Albania’s oldest and most treasured historical sites. When we first collaborated with their leadership team, it was clear that their commitment to excellence extended beyond the preservation of history; they were keen to modernise their internal operations to ensure seamless management of the foundation’s activities.
From financial management to human resources, procurement, and visitor services, Odoo has become the backbone of BMF’s administrative functions. The implementation was executed with careful consideration of the foundation’s specific needs, ensuring that every aspect of their operations could be efficiently handled through a single, unified system. By digitising and streamlining their processes, Odoo has enabled BMF to focus on their core mission—preserving and promoting Butrint as a top-tier cultural destination—while we ensure that their operational needs are met with precision.
