yes it is doable and super easy to do.

While editing your webpage, on the right, in the Blocks tab, just search for "Search" (oh the irony) and you will be presented with 2 different search blocks.

1- One you can put as it's own "block" to take up the whole page

2- The other can be inserted into an already existing block as a small search space
