Hi,
I am new to Odoo currently trying to implement Leave module of HR application.
I want department head or manager of an employee to grant leave(s) not someone from HR department.
Can it be done with double validation option from leaves configuration?
Or does it involve complex process for a newbie?
I need step-by-step instruction to achieve this flow. Is it possible?

By referring odoo v10 onwards:-
Odoo HRMS provide these full functionality and you can configure it simply.
Goto -> Leaves -> Configuration
You can create leave types here and from here, you can set the flag for double validation. This is the form you need to fill.
Apply Double Validation will set the leave to be validated by two head of departments.
This is the first approval by the head and after the approval, the state will change for next approval.
Note: These leave requests for approval will be shown to the related department heads. That can configure on employee details and according to employee hierarchy. You can add more security and record access rules to filter the leaves from other department heads.
Here is an example of the organizational chart for employees.

That is the only way to configure it? I could not follow how to attach the group to workflow transition. Is there any simpler way than mentioned in there?
