You’re absolutely right—manually managing large BOM changes (especially with 600+ components and nested assemblies) inside an ECO can become quite time-consuming and error-prone.

In standard Odoo (including Odoo Online v19), there is no native feature to directly import BOM changes into an ECO from a CSV/Excel file. While BOMs themselves can be imported, the PLM/ECO workflow requires changes to be applied through the UI for proper version tracking and validation.

That said, your use case (CAD → BOM → ECO) is quite common in manufacturing environments. Typically, this is handled through:

• Custom import functionality to push BOM lines into an ECO

• Or a CAD–Odoo integration (e.g., SolidWorks connector or middleware) to sync BOM structures automatically

This ensures both automation and proper change control within PLM.
