Hello Odoo, I created a product with attribute of [Service Type] and added variants to test our importing. I exported the file as is and only tried to import it and I received errors saying "no matching records" and other errors.
Can anyone help me understand where I went wrong?
To update prices, go to Variants and export / import from there.
Either Export all or select records from the List View
Tick the box "I want to update data"
Open the Excel file and amend prices:
Save the file
Go back to the List View and use the Import option:
You must select the External ID and the field(s) you are updating. Odoo should recognize the field names from the column headings in the Excel.
The most common error is not selecting the checkbox and so you don't have the External ID and Odoo thinks you are creating a new record.
That is what I did. Got all these errors
You shouldn't get errors if your file includes the External ID and the price (or whatever else you want to update). Don't include variant values or Name. Looking at the screenshot I can't see the External ID so Odoo will be trying to create a new variant.

Odoo 17 is a bit different from what i notice. There is only EXPORT all option.

What do you want to achieve? Copy a product with variants? Add variants to a product?
I created the variants in the system and wanted to adjust the prices instead of adjusting them one by one. So I exported the excel file, changed the amounts and tried importing it back. Received these errors. Even If I do not make any changes to the exported file, I get the same errors.
