Hi Experts,

Drag and Drop feature in the Kanban view (like Tasks kanban, pipeline kanban) is not working when I am accessing Odoo from the Tablet. I am trying to move a Task from one stage to another stage, but through Tablet I am not able to do so.

Did anyone also get the same issue?

What would be the solution for the said issue?

Kindly suggest/help to provide a solution to my customer.

Hi,

Drag-and-drop in Kanban (like Tasks or CRM Pipeline) relies on mouse-based drag events, and on many tablets the touch events are not fully mapped to the same JS drag logic.

When Odoo detects a mobile/tablet screen size, it switches to responsive/mobile mode, and some drag features are partially limited or behave differently.

First check if the issue is device-specific by testing in desktop mode (enable “Desktop site” in the tablet browser). In many cases, drag works in desktop mode.

Make sure you are using the latest Odoo version and updated web assets, as some drag issues were improved in later patches. Upgrade and clear browser cache.

If it still doesn’t work, a technical solution would require extending the Kanban JS to properly support touch events (adding touchstart / touchmove handling). This requires frontend customization.

As a practical workaround for customers, advise changing the stage using the form view (Stage field) or using the quick stage dropdown instead of drag-and-drop on tablets.
