Hi, I am using 3 step manufacturing, and MTO route.

I sometimes register SO with future delivery dates, so I want to set the raw materials reservation to be done about 7 days before the start date of the production.

My question is: 

In operation types, I have "Manufacturing" and "Picking Components".

In both operations I must select a reservation method from the 3 types (Manual, On confirmation, or Before scheduled date reservation)

I don´t know what is the right configuration, for each one. In which one should I set "the 7 days before" and how should the other operation type be configured?
