CRM - "IS WON STAGE?" check box

Hi,
In setting up stages in the CRM, there's a checkbox "Is Won Stage?" - What does it do? Why check it OR Why NOT check it?

odoo use this as a Flag , when you mark a opportunity as (MARK WON ) the system automatically search
for stage with this Flag.You must have excatly one stage with flag  "Is Won stage".
Notice this is general concept : when you see such thing in stage configuration ,  that mean it needed for some conditional actions
