I have been using the turnkey template for odoo (self hosted, latest version) in a proxmox instance to evaluate Odoo. That turnkey template uses Debian 12 as its basis.

Sadly I have been stuck on exporting invoices for several days now. When printing invoice, the footer is missing. From what I read on this forum, that is being caused by Odoo needing some patched six years old version of wkhtmltox (0.12.5 with qt) that is so outdated that it doesn't exist for debian 12 anymore.

Since there are no debian 12 packages I tried installing both the debian 10 package and the ubuntu deb packages for 0.12.5 but they both failed due to the dependencies like libjpeg-8 and libssl1.1 also not existing anymore on debian 12. I tried to manually install libjpeg from .deb-packages as well but apt seems to believe that the manually installed packages don't exist.

For that reason I came to the conclusion that Odoo can't work on debian 12. Now i wonder what distribution alternative i could use. Is there any up to date linux distribution that still supports wkpdftox 0.12.5 and for that reason also exporting pdf invoices from Odoo?

Or should I stop even trying to install Odoo directly and just use the docker version?
