Is there a way to duplicate a question in surveys so that I can re-use the suggested multiple-choice answers and other optins (eg comments section etc)

Hello Vassilis Papadopoulos,
Yes, You can make a duplicate a question in survey by made a changes in from view (External ID = survey.survey_question_form) of surevy.question model.
Inherit form view and add create="1", duplicate="1" this 2 attributes in from view.
