The Challenge, When Rapid Growth Outpaces Your Systems.
For Tayarlo, a premier ultra-high-performance tyre wholesaler in the Klang Valley, success brought a familiar set of "growing pains." As an authorized distributor of global tyre brands like Michelin, Tayarlo’s business is built on speed and reach.
Despite their success, Tayarlo’s growth was being held back by a "Rojak" system—a messy mix of different software and manual spreadsheets that didn't talk to each other. This led to three major "headaches" that almost every Malaysian wholesaler will recognize:
The "LHDN panic"
The Struggle: Manual invoicing was slow and prone to human error. They knew that if they didn't automate, the upcoming LHDN mandates would paralyze their daily billing cycles and risk heavy penalties.
The "Always Loading" Nightmare
In wholesale, time is literally money. Because Tayarlo handles high-volume transactions, their old system was constantly "hanging" or lagging. The Struggle: Simple sales reports were taking minutes—or even hours—to load. In a fast-paced and competitive market like the Klang Valley, waiting for a system to "un-hang" meant delayed deliveries and frustrated dealers.
Fragmented Insights
The Struggle: Without centralized data, it was impossible to get a real-time view of their stock levels across multi-brand inventory. This lack of visibility led to "data silos," where one department didn't know what the other was doing, leading to missed sales and stockout risks.
The Proactive Pivot
Tayarlo realized they couldn't wait for a government deadline to fix their internal foundation. Working with A1 Consulting, an Odoo Partner in Malaysia, they decided to move beyond "patchwork" fixes by choosing Odoo as the selected ERP for their Malaysian wholesale business.
The strategy was simple: build a scalable, sustainable business engine that would be ready for the future long before the law required it. By the time the 2027 postponement was officially announced, Tayarlo had already moved past the "panic" phase and was operating as a data-driven powerhouse.
The Solution: Building a Unified "Business Engine"
Instead of patching up old software, Tayarlo opted for a unified digital transformation. The goal was simple: move from "manual workarounds" to a data-driven powerhouse.
Automated LHDN E-Invoicing

Tayarlo moved away from the risks of manual compliance. By configuring Odoo as a certified intermediary, the system now connects their Odoo version 18 natively to the MyInvois portal. This allows Tayarlo to issue invoices on Odoo and synchronise it to the MyInvois portal with one click.
The Result: Every wholesale transaction from the warehouse to the front office generates a validated e-invoice automatically. This reduced billing errors and significantly shortened payment cycles from their network of dealers.
Real-Time Analytics with Power BI
Wholesale is a game of stock turnover. To maintain their competitive edge, Tayarlo needed more than just rows of data; they needed visual intelligence. A1 Consulting implemented secure APIs to push Odoo data into Power BI for dynamic visualization.
The Result: Management now uses interactive dashboards to monitor sales trends, inventory movement, and dealer performance in real-time. They can now spot peak demand for ultra-high-performance tyres and optimize their Michelin partnerships with 100% data accuracy.
Streamlined Communication (WhatsApp & Email)
In Malaysia, business happens on WhatsApp. Tayarlo leveraged Odoo to automate their customer communication.
The Result: Customer statements are now customized and sent automatically via Email and WhatsApp. This proactive approach has improved cash flow and dealer satisfaction by keeping every partner updated on their account status without manual follow-ups.
The Transformation: From "in silo" to connected system
Operational Aspect | Before Implementation (The Legacy Setup) | After Implementation (The Odoo Engine) |
System Performance | Frequent "hangs" and lags under high transaction volumes. | Smooth, high-speed performance even with massive data loads. |
Data Reporting | Reports took minutes to hours; often out-of-date by the time they loaded. | Instantaneous access to live data and dynamic visual dashboards. |
LHDN Compliance | Manual e-invoicing; high risk of human error and billing delays. | Automated; natively connected to the MyInvois portal. |
Inventory Visibility | "Siloed" data across separate spreadsheets; stockouts were common. | Unified inventory view; real-time tracking across multi-brand stock. |
Cash Flow Management | Manual "chasing" of payments and physical customer statements. | Automated WhatsApp/Email statements sent directly from the system. |
Decision Making | Based on "gut feel" or old Excel files. | Based on "Visual Intelligence" via integrated Power BI dashboards. |
Tayarlo’s story is a reminder that the 2027 postponement is not a reason to delay, it is a competitive advantage. By choosing to integrate their business early, Tayarlo is no longer just a tyre wholesaler—they are a data-driven leader in the Malaysian automotive industry.
