DeepSea Technologies applies deep learning to the shipping industry, a Greek team of AI researchers, engineers, and sector experts building the software that makes commercial shipping leaner, greener, and better connected. For a deep-tech operator with a research-and-engineering identity selling into the international shipping market, the back office has to be quietly excellent: regulatorily clean on the Greek side, reportable in IFRS on the international side, and never a tax on engineering time. 

DeepSea went live on Odoo with us across Sales, Inventory, Accounting, and Subscriptions, replacing manual processes with a single digital back-office platform. Subscriptions carries the recurring-revenue side with automated invoice generation, and on top of it we wrote a bespoke pro-rata billing module so partial-period invoices, mid-cycle activations, changes, and terminations, land on the right reporting month and consolidate cleanly into the books. Accounting sits on our EXN Greek Localization and EXN AADE MyData modules, every transaction submitted to AADE in real time on the document classification codes the regime requires; on top of that statutory layer we wrote a second bespoke module, this one for IFRS reporting, so the same ledger produces both Greek statutory and IFRS-format statements from one set of underlying entries. 

Originally on version 11, the platform is currently being carried forward to version 19: eight major Odoo releases of continuous upgrades and stewardship rather than a one-off rollout. The back office is digital, tidy, and predictable, financial reporting is accurate and on-time in both Greek statutory and IFRS regimes, and the engineering team keeps its focus on the actual product rather than on the chart of accounts.
