What you describe is part of Odoo's Putaway Rules. Setting up such a rule, you can define Goods or Categories of Goods to be stored in a Sublocation 'Last Used' (which by nature means a location another, same item is (or has been) stored already).

Navigate to a Product's or a Product Category's form view and hit the Putaway Rules smart button on top of that view. In there you can define rules for the arriving location and where to store them finally:

In order to use this feature you will have to enable Storage Location from Settings -> Inventory --> Section: Warehouse -> Storage Location.

you can also define Putaway Rules directly from Inventory -> Configuration -> Putaway Rules.
