Double Opt-in - Marketing automation

Hi,
I'm having issues using marketing automation module, in particular with setting up a campaign:
I'm setting up a double opt-in function, so that, when a user joins a newsletter, a subsequent email is sent to verify email and confirm subscription. I used the pre-defined module available in marketing automation, but the trigger does not work. That means that when a user registers, the email is not sent automatically, unless i manually click on "Execute" button in the campaign.  I'm using Odoo 1

Hi Marc,
The problem you're having is not unique, it's by design. The odoo developers chose for no explicable reason to treat double opt-in emails as newsletters and not transactional emails, which means it can take up to 1 hour for the email to be sent.
In other words, you, like myself will never receive a single sign-up from this automation, as no normal person will wait an hour just to click an email verifying their subscription.
