About Eurovets
Established by two Western-trained companion-animal vets, Dr. Martin Wyness and Dr. Jonathan Hale. Their focus was to improve and close the gap regarding supply and demand issues that many veterinarians faced in the region. Over the years their portfolio of premium and innovative products have exponentially grown to include a wide range from consumables, instruments, equipment as well as feed and supplements for both companion and equine animals – to mention a few.
The Situation
Situated as one of the top providers in the region, Eurovets was facing a logistical nightmare, as their reputation stands they only stock the top range inventory from the international community, meaning that shipments are brought in from all corners of the globe, and stored into the main facility here in the UAE.
The Obstacle
Beginning to streamline the operation, Eurovets had begun the implementation of SAP to assist the finance team in moderating and tracking the financials that were coming in and out of the company. Realizing that although SAP was a solid option to run their financials, however, in the long run having several systems to run different elements of the business would not be efficient nor cost-effective.
The Discovery Solution
Fast forward to the discovery of Odoo Community, they found software that could encompass all their needs under one roof that could potentially change the way they ran operations for the better. After a period of trial and error, they were satisfied with the concept of Odoo but needed to take things to the next level, in came Oakland and introduced them to Odoo Enterprise. Finally, they found their match, a software that runs all aspects of the business with the quality and support of the mother company and her partners.
