Does Odoo has Pre-payment/ Deposit and Advance Payment method?

For example, I sold products for my customer, total amount: $3000.

I want them prepaid 30% of total amount: $900.

When they paid, Sale order also will be confirmed.

Does Odoo support it? How can I do that?

Hi Krijn 

It's terrible because in my country, down payment is illegal.

So Can I have any differ choice to recognize  advance payment or pre-payment without customize?

Hi Odoo has a downpayment flow when the sale.order is conformed.
But in the story tells me that you want to do before the SO is confirmed.

You have 2 options:

option 1) stick to the default flow of Odoo. Receive the downpayment by your bank statement, post it directly on the receivable and make a manual action of confirm the sale order, generate the invoice and connect the downpayment to the invoice.

option 2) flow adjustments (needs development).
step a) make a extra state in the SO.
step b) make button "create invoice" visible in that new state.
step c) automatich action if the invoice is set to paid then confirm the connected SO.
