Hi there,

I am using Odoo 19 hosted by them and am having issues getting the logo in the header of any report. It shows up properly in Configure Document Layout but not otherwise. I tried searching for wkhtmltopdf in System parameters but could not find it. 

What is going on?

Hello, You can't check the wkhtmltopdf version on Odoo Online — it's managed by Odoo on their servers. To fix the missing logo: re-upload it (PNG/JPG) in Settings → Companies, or contact Odoo Support since it's a server-side issue only they can diagnose.

Hi Kunjan, thanks for your help. I uploaded it in jpeg format and it is fine now. However, the preview showing in Odoo studio does not match with actual printout. Not sure what to make out of that.

When using an Odoo-hosted instance (Odoo Online/SaaS or Odoo.sh), you won't find wkhtmltopdf in your system parameters because Odoo manages this external tool on its servers for PDF report generation. You cannot directly check its version or configure it, as it's a server-side component handled entirely by Odoo's infrastructure.

The issue of your logo not appearing in reports, despite being correctly configured, often stems from wkhtmltopdf's sensitivity to image formats or sizes, potential caching problems, or conflicts with custom report templates. While the logo might display correctly within Odoo's interface, the PDF conversion process can sometimes encounter difficulties.

To troubleshoot, start by clearing your browser's cache and re-uploading your logo, ensuring it's a common format like PNG or JPG and not excessively large. You could also try testing with a very simple, small image to rule out issues specific to your current logo file. However, since you're on an Odoo-hosted instance, the most effective solution is to contact Odoo Support via odoo.com/help. They have the necessary access to server-side logs and tools to diagnose and resolve wkhtmltopdf-related issues for your specific database.

My app is hosted by Odoo not on a local server. 

How do I check what version of wkhtmltopdf is installed?

Hello Manoj Damani,
I hope you are doing well

The logo shows in preview but not in PDF reports. Root cause: wkhtmltopdf can't resolve the logo URL.
Fix:            
1. Go to Settings → Technical → System Parameters
2. Set web.base.url to http://127.0.0.1:8069
3. Re-upload the company logo at Settings → Companies → Your Company
4. Ensure wkhtmltopdf 0.12.6+ is installed (wkhtmltopdf --version)
