How to make only selected tasks deduct hours from a fixed-hour support project in Odoo

Question

We sell support packages with a fixed number of hours (e.g. 20 hours). When a project is created for such a package, it gets assigned this total number of hours.
Within that project, we have different types of tasks:
Some tasks should *deduct hours* from the total package (e.g. actual support work).
Other tasks should *not deduct hours* (e.g. internal or administrative work).
How can we configure Odoo so that only the timesheets from selected tasks reduce the total number of available support ho

Hello there,
You can set the *invoicing policy *of the timesheet to Validated timesheets only.

Then, select the time logs [that should be expected to be delivered] for the validation of the time sheet  To validate the time sheet
Navigate: Smart button on SO "Recorded" or by *Timesheets APP → Timesheets/All Timesheets menu*   image [2]  Out of 9 hr rec, only 8 hrs are *deduct hours [expected to be delivered]*
