Odoo 15.0


Hi Odoo community , we are moving from our custom ERP to Odoo, so our company is new to Odoo. In our business we sell consulting service to client. Depending on the skill of the employee and his experience. 


Both of them need to charged the time on the same task inside the project. We are looking for a non third-party inside Odoo or a Odoo approve apps in best scenario. 


Ex: 

Employe name : Tom cruise

Experience rate : Junior


Employe name : Chuck Norris

Experience rate : Junior

Project : Consultation entreprise .inc


Task : Formation

- employee Junior = 75$/h 

- employee Senior = 150$/h


Task : Documentation

-  employee Junior = 50$/h 

-  employee Senior = 100$/h


Timesheet : 

Name               || Task                   || Hrs || Total price

Tom cruise       || Documentation || 2.5 || 250$

Chuck Norris   || Documentation || 2.5 || 150$


 

The employee don't have to know the rate he is when he enter his time for a task he just write the task and the amount of time. Our ERP is already doing that , but  we are looking to do the same. Does it exist or we need to develop or buy it.

Did you find a way to sell hours based on the employee's profile?

Thank you Ray for your response but the unknow part of my question is more about selling cost. I know the employee cost is assignable at a different cost rate for the same task. The thing is the selling rate example for task office cleaning Abigail will not sell to the client at the same rate as Andrew because she has more experience.  So for the task office cleaning  Abigail work 1 hours and it is selling to 200$/hours , but for Andrew for the task  office cleaning is gonna sell to 150$/hours because he has less expenrince. So it is more about the selling price rather then the employee cost. This is the same task but not at the same rate depending on employee skill.

Not quite. What you explain allows you to set a different cost on the employee, once. What if you want to have a different cost price for two separate sale order lines? This is currently not possible :) On the sales side it is possible because you can create two sale order lines with a different sales price.
What however is also not possible is to sell two people on the same sale order line with a different sales price.

A sales order line can have only one sales price. It would be confusing in any solution if it had more than one.
