Challenges Faced:

  • Many self-employed contractors struggle with tax and VAT compliance.
  • Delayed cash flow because of having to wait for HMRC tax or VAT rebates.
  • Payroll risk: managing payments, CIS deductions, and tax liabilities for subcontractors is complex.
  • Administrative burden: contractors often lack the time or bandwidth to manage their financials, tax filings, and business compliance.

Odoo Implementation: 

Inflow Systems helped In-Sync group deploy Odoo to digitally transform their contractor-management business by:
  • Implementing CRM to manage contractor profiles, payment status, and case tracking.
  • Automating billing and payment services workflows (CIS / PAYE / self-assessment).
  • Creating invoice & accounting automation around VAT advances, tax rebates, and client fund flows.
  • Building reporting dashboards to monitor rebate advances, payment processing times, and cash-flow risk.
  • Digitising contractor onboarding and document management via integrated document modules.

Key Enhancements:

  • Faster advance payouts - automating advance payments on VAT and tax refunds to improve contractor cash flow.
  • Reduced admin burden - less manual bookkeeping and reconciliation; contractors and In-Sync staff spend less time on repetitive tasks.
  • Improved accuracy & compliance - better tracking of tax liabilities, CIS status, and compliance checks.
  • Scalable operations - a unified platform supporting growth and complex contractor engagements.
