If the goal is to integrate WordPress with Odoo CRM, I would personally recommend going with a direct API-based approach instead of relying completely on middleware.

There are already a few WordPress plugins that push WooCommerce customers or form entries into Odoo, but most of them are either very specific in scope or require adjustments depending on your Odoo version.

If you’re mainly trying to send contact form submissions (for example from Contact Form 7) into Odoo CRM as leads, you don’t necessarily need full custom development. A plugin like Contact Form to Any API can send the form data directly to Odoo’s API endpoint. You just configure the Odoo endpoint URL, authentication (API key or credentials), and map the form fields to the crm.lead fields. Once set up, every new submission creates a lead automatically.

This way you avoid modifying core files and you’re not dependent on Zapier or another third-party connector unless you really need advanced workflow logic.
