Field used in DHL in order to rate shipment (in Odoo)

Global information:

• If the product is dutiable do not forget to check it on carrier

• DHL Product on carrier correspond to the carrier services (it could strongly impact the rates)

Field that impact rate request

• Product weight

• Quantity send

• Package maximum weight

If there is no package encoded (e.g in a sale order) in order to simulate the number of packages that will be send the system will compute the total weight of all the product combined in the sale order and will divide it by the package max weight.

For example I have 2 product A(weight 5) and 1 product B(weight 3) The default package on the carrier have a max weight of 7. Then it will simulate the delivery of 2 packages (2*5 + 3 = 13 / 7 = 1,85 rounded up 2). In a real picking case, it will send the package encoded by the user.

For each package simulated or encoded, it will send:

• Weight of the package (in the e.g. before it will send 1 package with 7kg and the other with 6kg even if it's not possible in reality)

• Package code if using predefined package

• Package length

• Package height

• Package width

For the shipper and receiver:

• Country Code

• Zip

• City

If the carrier is dutiable:

• Currency

• Total value of the products

Bonus:

• The rate will be send for the current date

• Every weight send to DHL is transformed to Pounds or Kg (Possible to choose on the carrier)

• Same for dimension in Inches or Centimeters

• It will also consider the shipper country code as ‘Payment Country Code’

• Each package is send with a unique id
