Performance issue with reports (eg.stock valuatoin)

Question

When taking stock valuation reports with a more than 15000 records in Quants hitting my cpu usage to 90-95% by PostgreSQL.
I have tried manual PostgreSQL tuning an also with  pg_tune but the effect was same, the report is taking time to load.
PostgreSQL v9.3
DB-server configuration is Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650L v3 @ 1.80GHz x 8cpu  and have a 15GiB RAM..
anyone please suggest some ways to improve the performance in taking reports.
