[Odoo v11] Issue with FIFO and back orders

Question

Hi there,
I have a situation and couldnt figure out the solution. At our company, we sell products which include raw materials (defined as BOMs-kits). All materials have FIFO and automated as Costing method and Inventory Valuation respectively. Last week, we sold some products and the raw materials ran out so we had to create some back orders (the inventory for those products became negative). We then purchased some more materials and brought the inventory back to positive.

Not sure, but may be... Odoo calculate/set the product cost only after first sales. So probably while creating new product you can set the cost price of the product to avoid this kind of situation.
