Hi Everyone! 

I'm currently setting up Odoo 8. I have successfully setup the outgoing and incoming servers using my hostgator email account. both incoming and outgoing tests are successful. In fact, I'm able to send and receive emails with other hostgator email accounts under my domain. 

The problem is, when it comes to sending emails to gmail, yahoo, etc. accounts, the emails seem to send out ok but the recipients never receive them. 

I've setup my alias domain already and everything works well if I send and receive emails within users using my domain. The gmail and yahoo are the only ones not pushing through. By the way, all incoming including yahoo, gmail, etc. have no problems. 

Hope someone can help. I really would like to use Odoo as our ERP.

I think you’re right on track! Thanks for this. Although I have no idea where to start but I have a feeling this is the solution.

Please check your DKIM, SPF and DMARC settings on your hostgator SMTP (they must comply with the Gmail and Yahoo requirements, which you should study), also check the Odoo log entries for any MTA related error messages, such as 553 return codes etc., if there are any.

Hi Dixy,

So you are telling that email send from the Odoo after configuring the outgoing mail server with G-mail and Yahoo, the emails are not getting delivered.

I have seen that while sending the email after configuring the outgoing mail server with G-mail, it take some times to get the mail send. After sending the mail you can check ,

Settings -> Technical -> Email -> Emails,

from here  check the status of the mail whether it get send or not.

Hi Niyas, 

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't use gmail as my outgoing server. I use my hostgator outgoing mail server and I'm not able to send to gmail or yahoo mail. I am able to send to other hostgator email that use my domain though but it does not show in settings > Technical > Email > Emails even without email filters.

Just do like this open the users from view and in the preference tab "Receive Inbox Notifications by Email" mark all messages . check whether this ca solve the issue
