The Challenge:
Based in the UAE, IBSA operates a specialized business manufacturing and renting formwork and construction materials. Their biggest pain point was a technical one: managing complex Units of Measure (UoM) involving Length x Height calculations for rentals versus standard units for sales. Off-the-shelf software simply couldn't handle the math required for their inventory.
Our Solution:
Our development team leveraged Odoo’s flexibility to build a bespoke UoM calculation engine. This allowed IBSA to accurately track and bill for formwork panels based on specific dimensions and rental periods. We integrated this custom logic across the Rental, Sales, Purchase, and Manufacturing modules. Today, IBSA manages both their manufacturing plant and their rental fleet within a single, integrated platform that caters specifically to the nuances of the construction industry.
