We occasionally have unresolved differences on invoices due to various issues.  These may remain on our aging with a source of BNK (cash receipt) or MISC (journal entry).  I would just like to get these small amounts off the aging, but I haven't found a way to do this.  Is there a way to "write off" small balances to have them removed from the aging?  

Here's an example.  I have a remainder from a cash receipt of $0.20 and two journal entries to reclassify a large sale, which offset.  All three show on the aging.  I'd like to offset the two large entries and write off the $0.20.  Thanks.

Yes, Odoo allows you to clear small residual balances from Accounts Receivable so they no longer appear on the aging report.

A common approach is to create a write-off journal entry to a dedicated expense account (e.g., "Small Balance Write-Off" or "Bad Debt Adjustment"). The journal entry should be posted to the same customer receivable account and partner as the outstanding amount. Once posted, you can reconcile the write-off entry with the remaining open receivable items.

In your example, you could first reconcile the two offsetting journal entries against each other, then create a journal entry for the remaining $0.20 and reconcile it with the residual balance from the cash receipt. After reconciliation, the items will be considered settled and will no longer appear on the Accounts Receivable aging report.

If your company frequently encounters small differences, you may also want to define a standard write-off account and process so that these minor balances can be cleared consistently and efficiently.
